About
I’m an Internal Medicine doctor based in New York. I received my M.D. from the University of Rochester and my M.F.A. from the Columbia Writing Program, where I was a McCrindle Fellow.
I write about medicine and literature, with a focus on the stories of marginalized patients and healthcare workers. My work has appeared in The Guardian, Literary Hub, Aeon, Scientific American, and more. Intima nominated my story “The Halo” for a Pushcart Prize in 2021. The Rumpus nominated my essay “How to Feed a Dying Body” for Best American Essays in 2025.
In addition to essays, I’m working on my debut book, a novel set in Brooklyn's Eighth Avenue Chinatown about a man who can’t leave his home after the death of a close friend.
