About

I’m an Internal Medicine doctor at NYU Langone Health. I received my M.D. from the University of Rochester and my M.F.A. from the Columbia Writing Program, where I was a McCrindle Fellow.

I write about medicine and literature with a focus on the stories of marginalized patients and healthcare workers. My work has appeared in The Guardian, Literary Hub, Catapult, Ploughshares, Scientific American, and more. My piece “The Halo,” which discusses neurointensive care from the perspective of students, was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

In addition to personal essays, I’m writing a series of magazine features about homebound Americans. I’m also currently working on my debut book, a coming-of-age novel set in Eighth Avenue Chinatown in Brooklyn.
